Services
· Professional Translations from English, Swedish
and Danish into Norwegian, and localisation of software.
· Expert opinion regarding Marketing issues in Norway.
I translate all kinds of texts, websites, html with tags,
manuals, etc. Feel free to contact me for a quote. Texts related to Marketing
is my strongest discipline, but I also translate software. Being a Translator
and a Marketer, localisation comes naturally.
Computer Hardware and Software:
I believe that burning CD ROMs for backup up data is a poor
solution. Backup between PCs in a Windows network is more clever, and
faster.
Expertise
I am the founder of you-name-it.com, an a native Norwegian,
full time translator with experience in many fields. The main areas I
have worked with include the following:
· Technical manuals
· Software localisations
· Hardware related texts
· Marketing related texts
· Sports
· Law
I have also worked with many website localisations, e.g.
with PMI's Norwegian site, found here,
usextradition.com
, and Victory
Challenge.
During different projects I often build my own glossaries.
I am educated from The Norwegian School of Marketing, BI/NMH
, and have lived in England (Leeds and London) for one and a half year
finalising my BA in export marketing. Click here
to take a look at my Diploma from South Banks University.
The CAT-tool Trados along with Wordfast and Multiterm give
the basis for high quality translations. Multiterm and Wordfast's "Quality
Check" and "Blacklist" functions allow me to adapt to the
needs of my customers. The translation memory and the glossaries at hand
ensure consistency and the very best result. Localisation of translations,
which means adaption of the source text to the market, comes naturally
with also beeing a Marketer.
